If you are paying your utility for natural gas, STOP. You can save 7-10% on your gas
supply bill with no contract or fee. You get the same gas, and the same bill, only lower.
Long Island Power Solutions represents local Energy Service Companies or ESCOs.
The ESCOs we represent are approved by the New York State Public Service Commission. We work together with
your local utility company (National Grid/Keyspan, ConEdison) to supply you with the same natural gas at a substantial
savings. Your utility company is still responsible for the delivery and service of your natural gas.
Benefits of Choosing Long Island Power Solutions
- Rebate From The Utility: Reduction or elimination of merchant function charge (Utilities encourage the use of ESCOs)
- Reduction in the price of gas on the supply side of your energy bill.
- Elimination of the sales tax on the delivery portion of your bill.
- 80% reduction in the utility and state surcharge. You will still receive one bill from the utility, there are no sign up fees,
no cancellation fees and you can cancel at any time if you do not see a cost savings.
- Under our monthly variable price plan, most of our customers save 7%-10% on their entire natural gas bill.
Frequently asked questions:
What is Deregulation?
Natural gas deregulation was instituted in an effort to eliminate utility (National Grid/Con Edison)
monopolies and to create a competitive gas marketplace. Now you the consumer have the opportunity to
choose your own natural gas provider. National Grid/Con Edison, as well as the Federal and State
Governments, wholeheartedly endorse natural gas deregulation.
How will this work?
On a month to month basis, we will give you the most competitive prices on your natural gas, in most
cases lower than National Grid/Con Edison. Other savings come from tax reductions and credits on your
National Grid/Con Edison gas delivery charge. These are all part of NY States incentives to make
deregulation work. The combined savings passed along to the consumer is approx. 7% to 10% a month
on your monthly bill. To enjoy these savings, you must switch from your local utility (National Grid/Con
Edison) to an Energy Service company.
Will the gas be different? What pipelines will you use?
Nothing will change. Your local utility (National Grid/Con Edison) will still deliver the same natural gas
through the same existing pipelines. The safety and reliability that you are accustomed to stays the same
and does not change.
Who do I call in case of an Emergency?
All gas emergencies such as power outages and gas leaks will still be handled by National Grid/Con
Edison, 24 hours a day, and 7 days a week.
Will I get a different Bill?
We have made it easy and your monthly gas bill will still be paid to your local utility (National Grid/Con
Edison).

There is only a one page easy enrollment form to fill out.
What do you get for switching?
- One convenient monthly bill from National Grid/Con Edison

Why won’t there be any sales tax charged?
In order to ensure the breakup of the national gas supply monopolies, and ensure the success of
competition, the New York state legislature has made it so that no energy supply company was required
to pay, or collect, sales tax on the delivery portion of the gas. You will see that once signed up, National
Grid/Con Edison will remove that portion of tax, as they are also aware and will continue to do the billing.
Will there ever be an interruption in our service?
No. There will never be an interruption in the delivery of the gas.
Where do we buy the gas?
We buy the gas from exactly the same place that National Grid/Con Edison buy there gas. Most of the gas
is purchased down south in the Louisiana terminals, but sometimes it is also purchased from suppliers in
Canada.
Will there be a change in regard to the billing?
No. The billing will still be generated by National Grid/Con Edison. If there is ever a complaint or concern
in reference to the bill, it can be taken up directly with National Grid, or you can feel free to call us, and we
will help expedite the resolution.
Who do you call in case of a gas leak or emergency?
You would call National Grid/Con Edison directly, as they will continue to handle any emergencies 24
hours 7 days a week.
How can we be cheaper then National Grid/Con Edison?
Our expenses and overhead are much cheaper than National Grid/Con Edison and we have the ability to
develop a big winter reserve of gas so that we can be priced very aggressively during the months where
